Scope
The 46th IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems (IEEE ICDCS 2026) is a premier international forum for researchers and practitioners to present, discuss, and exchange cutting-edge ideas, as well as the latest findings, on all aspects of distributed computing systems. The conference will be held on 22–25 June 2026 in Seoul, South Korea (https://icdcs2026.icdcs.org/).
IEEE ICDCS 2026 encourages the submission of tutorial proposals covering the theory, experimentation, and practice of distributed computing systems and distributed artificial intelligence (AI). Tutorial proposals should focus on either emerging or established research topics that are likely to attract broad interest from the ICDCS community, including but not limited to the following areas:
- Distributed Systems for AI/ML
- AI/ML for Distributed Systems
- Agentic AI Architectures for Distributed Systems
- Distributed Inference
- Federated Learning for Applications (e.g., Biomedical)
- Distributed LLMs and RAG Deployments
- Big Data, Models, and Systems
- Mobile, Edge, and Cloud Computing
- Operating Systems and Middleware
- Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems
- Trustworthy AI, Security, and Privacy in Distributed AI
- Deployment Mechanisms for Distributed Systems
- Novel Infrastructure and Emerging Applications
Guidelines for Tutorial Proposals
Tutorial proposals should be limited to four (4) pages in length, formatted in the IEEE 8.5″ × 11″ two-column format using 10-point fonts, and submitted as a single PDF file. Each proposal must include the following information:
- Tutorial title and abstract (maximum of 150 words).
- Names and affiliations of the tutor(s).
- A statement confirming that at least one tutor will deliver the tutorial in person, on site.
- An explanation of why the tutorial is engaging and significant for the IEEE ICDCS community.
- A detailed outline of the tutorial in bullet-point format, including references and estimated time allocations for each topic.
- Tutorials are expected to be half-day sessions, unless a strong justification is provided for a full-day tutorial.
- An estimate of the expected number of participants.
- Information about previous editions of the tutorial (if any), including its history and frequency, past conference co-locations, relevant URLs (if available), and approximate attendance.
- A short biography of each tutor, highlighting their expertise and prior experience in delivering tutorials and/or similar events.
An extended abstract of the accepted tutorials will be included in the ICDCS 2026 proceedings.
